WHAT HAPPENS IN A QIGONG ENERGY HEALING SESSION?

At the beginning of our time together, we’ll gently check in about how you’re feeling, what has been moving through you emotionally, and what brings you to the session. When you feel ready, you’ll get comfortable, lying down fully clothed if in person, or settling into a cozy space at home if working remotely. Please remove any large metal objects (e.g. belt buckles) on the body or electronics (e.g. smart watches) at this time. 

I’ll start by connecting with your energy to read how qi is flowing through your physical, energetic, and spiritual bodies. I will also check how grounded your energy body is to the earth, and your connection to what many different spiritual traditions call the Divine, Heaven, Source, Higher Self, or Light of the Dao.  The session then happens in three main stages:

1. Clearing: Carefully removing excess, stagnant, congested, or foreign qi in and around the body. During this phase, you may notice warmth, tingling, movement, or gentle waves of energy flowing through your body.

2. Nourishing / Tonifying: Bringing fresh yin and yang qi into your organs, with a focus on the five yin organs of Traditional Chinese Medicine: the lungs, kidneys, liver, heart, and spleen, and meridians. These organs are deeply connected to emotional balance, vitality, and healthy boundaries. Many people feel extremely relaxed during this phase, sometimes drifting into rest or sleep, which is always welcome if your body calls for it.

3. Harmonizing: Regulating the flow of qi throughout the body and limbs so energy moves freely, smoothly, and in balance. This often feels like everything clicking into place, an overall sense of integration and completeness to the session.

Before closing, I'll check in with you, make any needed adjustments, then gently return your energy with care before disconnecting. Most people leave feeling grounded, balanced, lighter, and at peace, often wanting to rest or sleep deeply afterward. Session are ~2 hours long.

I highly recommend drinking plenty of water and giving yourself a few gentle hours before returning to your day. Please abstain from recreational psychoactive substances for 24 hours before and 48 hours after a session. To better sustain the effects from the session is recommended to continue your personal qigong practice starting the next day.  

At this time, I’m unable to offer sessions to those who are pregnant, currently undergoing chemotherapy, and with a few other circumstances.
