A sliding scale allows you to pay according to your ability. Financial insecurity, unemployment, and poverty are some common reasons people, particularly among marginalized groups (such as people of color, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and those with histories of poverty), are unable to seek consistent care they would deeply benefit from. Especially in current times, sliding scales enhance accessibility, equity, and healing with human focused compassion. As someone who has greatly benefited from healing practitioners who offered sliding scale options during a time when I truly needed for it, I’m honored to pay it forward as I can.
Self-Select: You choose the rate that aligns with your financial circumstances. I trust that you’ll be thoughtful about which option is right for you. I do not ask for any verification for your selection.
Confidentiality: Your payment rate is kept confidential and will not impact our coaching relationship.
Flexible Adjustments: If your financial situation changes, feel free to reach out to discuss adjusting your rate.
I have three sliding scale rates to choose from: STANDARD, SUPPORTED, and ACCESS. Choose the rate (or an amount in-between the listed rates) that is true for your situation. I appreciate your honesty and integrity in doing so.
STANDARD RATE
For clients who are in a stable financial position. If you choose to pay above this rate (+) it helps support others.
For example: You have housing security, access to healthy food, savings, reliable transportation, assets, and healthcare. You can vacation annually, you are partnered, you have been supported by, have inherited, or will inherit wealth, you are adequately employed, and can buy most items new.
SUPPORTED RATE
For clients who are facing some financial challenges.
For example: You do not come from a background of financial wealth; you may be employed but not sustainably compensated by your employer, you are a single parent, you have a disability, you have experienced historical or cultural trauma, you have experienced cultural oppression due to you skin color, ethnicity, gender identity, or sexuality.
ACCESS RATE
For clients who are experiencing significant financial stress and hardships. Please note I have a limited availability at this level.
For example: You are having food, housing, and health care insecurity. You do not have access to family support or savings. You are a single parent, you have a disability, you are un/under employed, you have experienced historical trauma, or cultural oppression. You near or below the federal poverty level.
