somatic Sessions
Your body longs to be met with compassion & curiosity.
Your body longs to be met with compassion & curiosity.
Somatic work helps you discover how your body has always been protecting, guiding, and supporting you. When you shift from battling your body to partnering with it, profound healing and connection become possible.
Sessions are 60–90 minutes, fully clothed, and offered both in person and online. We’ll begin by checking in, arriving together, and exploring any goals you may have for how you’d like to feel or what you’d like to work on.
What Somatic (SE™) Experiencing offers:
A gentle, body-based approach to healing trauma, shame, stress, and relational wounding.
The chance to release old trauma patterns and rewire the brain and body toward safety, balance, and resilience.
Support for sensations stored in the body such as pain, numbness, dissociation, or overwhelming emotions, even when the original event isn’t remembered.
A safe space to explore the body’s protective wisdom, or trauma responses, with curiosity, compassion, and care.
The opportunity to uncover new pathways of safety, peace, pleasure, and homecoming beneath layers of suffering.
During our time together, you may:
Follow your body’s impulses into different movements (such as pushing, tensing muscles, or defending your self) to naturally discharge stored protective energy.
Notice and follow sensations in the body like expansion, warmth, or tingling as the body's doorways to healing.
Explore difficult material and feeling strong emotions in small, manageable doses so your system is not overwhelmed.
Practice pendulation, moving between discomfort and supportive comfort, to build nervous system flexibility and health.
Experience trembling, yawning, shifts in breath, or waves of release as your body integrates new healing pathways.
Develop stronger awareness of your body and emotions, along with growing trust in your ability to return to a secure center of Self over time.
